About this item
- US Department of Agriculture Hardiness Zone: 4 to 9
- SMELL:Wormwood smells like a savory herb. The sort of herb that you'd smell wafting in from your kitchen. It smells like something you'd rub on a turkey on Thanksgiving morning.
- GROW:Wormwood is generally planted in spring. If starting plants from seeds, sow the small seeds in flats and set the seedlings out in the garden well after the last frost in spring. Once established, wormwood plants require little care. In addition to occasional watering.
- EXTERIOR:Absinthium is a herbaceous perennial plant with fibrous roots. The stems are straight, growing to 0.8-1.2 m (2 ft 7 in-3 ft 11 in) (and rarely over 1.5 metres (4 ft 11 in)) tall, grooved, branched, and silvery-green.
- USE:It is an ingredient in the spirit absinthe, and is used for flavouring in some other spirits and wines, including bitters, bäsk, vermouth, and pelinkovac.
